Jack Tar Bar Soi 6 Pattaya
The Jack Tar Bar is the oldest Bar in Soi six in terms of being in the hands of the same owner. Unlike the
other bars in Soi 6 the Jack Tar is not a bar. Its a bar for meeting, drinking and watching the word go round - or
as the case is usually eyeing up the girls opposite at Red Point.

maybe you should avoid it.
I have read some of the comments and just wanted to correct some misconceptions.
The JT bar is a favorite hang out of many regulars to Pattaya as well as the expat community.
The day manager is Bruce, a retired sea captain who is originally from New Zealand and is a close friend of Alan who owns the Clansman Bar.
I found them to be friendly and a good source of general info about Pattaya.
The menu is not bad and has the usual farang food you would expect at a fair price.
The beers from memory were about Bt65 for a San Mig lite so not too pricey as the average price on Soi 6 for the same beer is Bt85.
The bar opens about 10:30 - 11am and you can order breakfast or just a toastie if you want.
I like the bar as it is a hassel free non girly type bar and I like to watch the world going by.
Definitely worth a visit.
They also do cheap large rooms upstairs.
A good place to stay on soi6.
